Take it easy and get well.

I went through the physical therapy thing with my hand. Kind of wished I had worked a little harder at it as I have some slight stiffness in those fingers.

I used to sit at my desk at work and use a C clamp to slowly bend my finger more and more.

thank you all soo much !! . never though it would be so hard to only being able to use 1 hand . just to put the jacket on is difficult :? :D
I also have to sleep with the arm in a up-position. Got some more excellent wood in the mail today " German spruce" seems extremely light and nice. just hope to be able to work it soon.

Lars.

Hope all is well with the niece . Its hard when stuff happens to us old codgers , but its extra painfull when its a child . I hope she wakes up and heals fast . Im sure most if not all your worry is there .

As for your hand , it will heal in time , soon enough you will be givin us all the "finger" again , even if it is the pinky ! [:Y:]

Lars,
I just saw this, sorry to hear it. Do your physical therapy faithfully and hopefully you'll get good use of your hand back.
Jim

I'm very sorry to hear about your hand, Lars.

I had a serious a head-on car accident in 1997 which immobilized me for eight months. After basically learning to walk again, I still live with minor issues today that I am fairly certain could have been avoided if I had had been more serious about physical therapy. I thought I was being pretty good about it at the time but in hindsight, I know I could have done better....and now I wish I would have.

If they tell you there is a chance of a full recovery of your finger I would implore you to approach your physical therapy like it was religion.

Some people act like having ten fingers is reduntant. Musicians ('cept for Phil Keaggy) and luthiers....not so much.

Lars, so sorry to hear about your accident, as you can probably guess after my accident I'm very sympathetic with anyone with a hand injury. What I can say is that when the physios start on you, do everything they say and work really hard.

Colin
