My Sitka/Lutz Mahogany OMs have been my favorites, my fastest sellers by far, and have received the most compliments so there you have it.

Howard I have lusted after Pernambuco for the last ten years, I do have some violin bow stock, but that is it. I've never found any guitar size stuff on this side of the pond. I believe it would make a truly great classical.

Bruce Sexauer, perhaps? He sure seems to like the stuff, from what I've read.

Violin makers I've spoken to over here, tell me pernambuco is getting so hard to come by, or expensive (or both), that they are forced to use other woods for bows. They will be in the near future, at least. The guy who has a stash of it that is large enough for guitars must be fabulously well-to-do , or he would be if he sold it to bow makers.... Or is "bow quality wood" different?

My favourite tonewood is spruce. ;)
