Last week my son & I were in CO. What a beautiful part of the USA! Robbie graciously allowed us to consume a few hours of his day to entertain us in his guitar shop. If you haven't met Robbie, he is not only an outstanding luthier and instructor, but an all around great guy. Thanks to the OLF for making these acquaintances possible. Thanks Robbie for your unselfish sharing.

I have a friend who lives in Colorado Springs that I visit once ever couple years. I also plan to visit with Robbie someday. I bet he is a super nice guy.

I love the new flip-top guitar design. Easy to get inside and repair loose bracing down the road..... :P

If anyone is ever in Colorado and wants to make a visit to the O'Brien shop or drop in on my classes at the college, you are always welcome.

Hey Robbie, as you probably (don't) remember, I moved to Colorado this summer - I'm not too far from the Lakewood campus. Do you (or any of the instructors) ever do a course on finishes - varnish and the like? I took the Brune course the first time it was offered so I don't really need the FP course.

Yes! The Finew oodworking department offers a very good finishing course. It covers most everything and spray technique is thoroughly exlpored.
I think there is still time to get in on this course. Pay a visit to the college and get registered if you are interested.

I will be offering a high gloss guitar finishing course in starting January of 09
