That should be fun Chris. Please give us some progress pics when you get a little further in. Looks like the end result will be very cool!

Good Luck,
Danny

wow7-eyes ...lucky. I've been watching Myka's stuff for a few years now and he's easily my favorite builder. You are so lucky to be able to work with him.

I'm really looking forward to your pictures. I'd love a video of it being played too! Those small hollow bodies are a lust of mine.

The body shape is David Myka's - it's his 'dragonfly' desing, which I think is the same outline as his singlecut. It's a great take on a LPish style guitar, and looks very cool as a small bodied archtop.

Chris - you're doing great stuff, colour me jealous!

Thanks for posting these, Chris. It looks great. How did you guys do the carving? Did you use planes, or did you hog it out with something?

That's gorgeous, Chris. Wow.

You don't need to convince me regarding the duplicarver. They get you in the area, definitely not all the way!

If you're not up for sharing these details, that's ok, but where were the final thicknesses of the top?

Thanks, Chris. That gives me an idea of what you guys were looking for. Sounds like you're going for stiffness with his design. The top on my 175 is completely structural and doesn't contribute anything to the voice. I bet the veneer really tightens things up, too. I'm really looking forward to the finished product!
