Well, I got most of my new tools set up. Photos below. Really love that SuperSaw. Bandsaw is still not running since I do not have the 200v thing worked out yet. I had a friend who works for the utilities come by and explain it to me... good to go. I did manage to finish the top & back of the harp guitar (grafted pieces for the harp arm). The back shows up in one of the photos below. Also, used my new Wood Craft card scrapers. Now why did not anybody tell me about these before? Now, just got to learn how to keep them sharp. Bought a burnisher, but I think I still need a stone.

Mike (having too much fun)

Mike, are those all new? Do dreams get any bigger?

I spent the entire afternoon getting myself to the point where I felt confident with the way I was reading a schematic, and then wiring up five wires for an effects loop. Can you believe that? An entire afternoon for five wires? I still don't know how to read relay schematics, but I'm confident that I did this one right.

All are new except the jointer. I found the jointer on the local craigs list. Hardly ever used and for less than half for a new one! All the other tools came from General Industrial Supply in Nashville. (via Microsft Cashback ;) )

Good luck with your wires.

Mike

Editorial Comment: These tools cost the same as my first Gateway computer (and it is sitting in some landfill by now)

James....when I read your post....I had a memory come back is swooosh fashion. I once spent 37 hours fixing a gyro problem on the USS Thorn in the middle of the 1st gulf war. The ship had to throw anchor during that time. The gyro runs off of 3 phase 440. You couldn't count the number of wires in that thing if God gave you permission. Not trying to one up you or hijack this thread but I had to mention it.

Chris
