Mike, Try The Fiddle Hangout. They have a section in their Forum called "Fiddle Building, Setup, and Repair". Folks in there talking about everything from Hide Glue to putting Balsa Tops on fiddles. I just started making a fiddle too. I've got the blocks cut out and will glue them to the mold tomorrow morning. I know Manuel has some pictures of his fiddles over on the Luthiers Community. I have all of Strobels books that I'm building mine from. Wish there were some DVD's to buy on building a fiddle. I bet Manuel would answer any questions we may have. |

Hey Big Mike, Here's another I forgot. It's called The violin Forum. They also have a topic in there called, "Violin Making and Restoration" I think Barry Dudley hangs out in there a bit. Hope this helps, Big Chuck |

Maestronet.com is the best for serious information. More full time violin makers participate there than the others. |
