I'm looking for ideas for a truss rod cover for my ebony peg head. I don't recall seeing a show and tell on this? Thanks all! |

Here's mine. I've decided to go with two small mounting screws and decided to use an off cut from the headstock veneer to match the wood. The screws will match the tuners ie: gold for gold and chrome for chrome. Attachment: headstock 005.JPG

Like Rod, I like to use the same material as the headstock veneer. Mine are attached with a rare earth magnet set into the headstock and a washer glued to the cover. |

Here's mine, inspired by Mario Bearegard's design. Attachment: 703 head blk (49).jpg I've always preferred the look of no screws, so on my last I used two pairs of tiny magnets, NOT flush mounted (so the cover kind of snaps into the right position) Attachment: cover attach (41).jpg

These are cool guys! Where do you get the little magnets? Rod, my peghead looks alot like yours - also will be using Gotoh 510s. |

I got mine from a fairly local distributor of similar stuff - Indigo Instruments in Waterloo, On. They're 3mm x 1mm & cheap ($3 for 20). |

Ricardo: Here's mine, I made it with various bits of the same woods, it is a planned part of the trim scheme. Held on with a small wooden tongue under the nut and a magnet. The inlay matches everything else. Mikey |

Very nice Mikey. Good idea that tongue under the nut! |
