Anyone here going to the Guitar Foundation of America convention in Ithaca New York this next week?

www.guitarfoundation.org
Go the the vendors fair page .
If so stop by my table and see my guitars and all the makers there.
The list is impressive!
Some of the best classical & flamenco makers in the world along with the players will be there.

Hi David! It was nice seeing you at ASIA. Per our conversations, I noticed that Steven Walter will be at GFA, at the Vendor's Fair. Look him up while you are there. He's a nice guy and builds some nice guitars. He likes uncomplicated designs, and doesn't use a lot of marquetry on his instruments, but they are nice. He builds two primary models - one, a Hauseresque model and the other a Humphrey-like, with raised finger board, and slanted top. I like the Hauseresque model better, myself.

I'd love to go to this, but I don't know if I can make the long trip. It's gotta be at least 6 miles from my house. :D

I'll drop in on you all at least once. If I didn't have two young children and a busy week, I'd throw a little party for all of you. I will try to drop by on Wednesday if I can, to say hello and see if any of you need anything. If there's anything I can do to help make your time in my home town more enjoyable, I'd be happy to.

David - somehow I managed to let the ASIA Symposium slip by without introducing myself to you. I'll rectify that while you're here in my neighborhood.

Todd, Was that you in the knit cap sitting across from Scott MacDonald at the "picnic"?

Yes, and I had a great conversation with Scott as we sat there. I found him to be quite a wise and insightful guy; I drank deeply from the fount of his mind.

(Just don't tell anyone you saw me with a can of Budweiser in my hand.)

(While you're here in Ithaca, pick up some pale ale, nut brown ale, or summer brew from the Ithaca Beer Company!)

Ithaca Nut Brown is very good. Are these always in Ithaca. I will have to make it sometime, only 1 1/2 hours away.
