Hey guys I ran into a few challenges while making my rosette and I am wondering if you guys have any solutions for me.

I realize that this might be partially my fault as I should have checked my shell for structural integrity issues before I started to inlay it.

Either way when I was finished my rosette and doing the scraping and sanding I found a hole come out in one of the pieces and the corners of two that were thinner underneath have been sanded away. I really don't want to have to route out those pieces and replace them is there a way to cover up those little things?

They are mega small so I think there should be a simple solution like fill with cyano or something lol.

Thanks for the feedback!

I imagine that if the shell has holes, its likely paua ab .. if so, I use black dust and CA to fill .. or just fill totally with med CA clear.

FYI - there is a small luthiers gathering this Saturday at the Moonshine Cafe in Oakville Ontario .. 3-6 pm, all welcome - 4 builders will be showing guitars
