I have a Performax 10-20 and a Delta 18-36. Where would you guys and gals recommend buying grit for the drum? Thank you in advance. Hutch |

Hi Hutch, I used Klingspor when I had a drum sander. They sell it precut,pre-marked and bulk..They are a great supplier of all things related to sandpaper. Regards, Brad |

I recently bought a bunch from woodworker's supply. They had a special on it and with the contractor's discount it was very reasonable. I got about 3 rolls of 80 grit and 3 rolls of 120 grit for a steel city 26 inch dual drum sander and if I remember correctly it was under 50 bucks including shipping. |

I get 3" rolls from Klingspor as well, inexpensive and good quality, and cut to length for the 10/20 as needed. They also sell the conveyor belts for the 10/20. |

I got some from Grizzly once that was surprisingly good. I was out of paper and they are right down the street. All they had in stock was the kind that's backed for hook and loop. I was worried that, with the extra padding, it wouldn't sand flat. It sanded fine and I came to believe that it actually helped dissipate heat and made the paper last longer. |

Kent, I too use furry-backed hook and loop type paper on my sander, and I also think the "cushioning effect" is helpful. I buy large rolls of 6" Klingspor paper, and cut them up as needed. I wish I could remember where I bought it... |

I buy 50 yard rolls of the 2" Klingspor at Canadian Woodworker for less than $50 a roll for my 18-36. |

Another vote for Industrial Abrasives, their premarked rolls for the Delta are good value. |
