Here's a few I recently finished...

The 12's are one each Honduras and BRW. The BRW has a 25.34" scale, medium strings, and tuned to C#. The Honduras a 26.22" scale, .070-.015" cables and tuned to a B. The long scale Honduras is easily my favorite. [:Y:]

So when are you shipping all 3 to me? I love smaller bodied 12 strings (as compared to dread/SJ/Jumbos) they look very classy and are very comfortable. Beautiful work indeed.

Haans,

They are lovely! They have a wonderful vintage look about them. And I agree, the photography is excellent!

Cheers

Thanks folks!
As far as photo tips, some of the important stuff is to use RAW, natural light, do a custom white balance if your camera has it, and use a tripod. If your lenses are fast enough you can hand hold as I did on these, but I bumped up the ISO to 400, dropped the lens to 5.6 from f8 or 11. Good enough for the web.

Haans,

They are all really nice. I love the "old time" look.

What are the bindings?

Are they all ladder braced?

Nitro?

Brad

You have a way with building those timeless classics. I really like the body shape on all of them. The hint of green in the back strip is a nice touch. So this is retirement? How many at a time did you put out when you were working? What is the top purfling?

Cheers,
Danny

Thanks again folks!
Brad, the binding is ivoroid with b/w/coco/b/w purflings. I'm replacing that with the new "dot and dash" Larson purfling. The 6 string is Larson X bracing and the 12's are a hybrid ladder/tone bar. The finishes are Nitro and I do the finishing.
Danny, I've only been building guitars for about a year after a 37 year hiatus. As far as mandolins, I used to build about 6-8 a year, but I can't do that anymore as I have pretty bad neck arthritis that is directly attributable to carving tops and backs. I figure that once I get completely set for guitars, I'll be able to make somewhere around 5-10/year, depending on how I feel about being "retired", and the financials involved.
Lars, if I had a last name like yours, I would certainly start copying Stahls! [:Y:]
