Stumbled on this awesome video while aimlessly wandering around youtube. I hope I'm still that spry when I'm approaching 90. ![]() |

Jim, thanks very much for sharing that. I was very struck by his dignity and modesty. That's my hope, that as I grow up (I'm nearly 61) that I can stay just as moblile as Everett and continue making stringed instruments for years to come. |

Jim, thank you for showing us this footage of Everette, it certainly has given me a boost. I just turned 70 last October and I can't believe how quick the years have rushed by since I retired in 2004. I've been thinking lately that it may have been a mistake to build up my (small) stash of wood as I might not live long enough to use it all. Sure, this was some real negative thinking looking at the the dark side, (I had health issues), but when I saw 86 year old Everette whittling away it turned my head around somewhat. Who knows I could be good for a few guitars yet! Bill S. |

That was a great video. Can't think of anything I'd rather be doing when I'm 86 ![]() |

That was wonderfully enjoyable and inspiring Jim! Thanks for posting it. Next time I get down to San Antone to visit the folks I'll have to see if I can set up a visit with Everett. ![]() |
