Stumbled on this awesome video while aimlessly wandering around youtube.

I hope I'm still that spry when I'm approaching 90. :)

Jim, thanks very much for sharing that.
I was very struck by his dignity and modesty.
That's my hope, that as I grow up (I'm nearly 61) that I can stay just as moblile as Everett and continue making stringed instruments for years to come.

Jim, thank you for showing us this footage of Everette, it certainly has given me a boost. I just turned 70 last October and I can't believe how quick the years have rushed by since I retired in 2004. I've been thinking lately that it may have been a mistake to build up my (small) stash of wood as I might not live long enough to use it all. Sure, this was some real negative thinking looking at the the dark side, (I had health issues), but when I saw 86 year old Everette whittling away it turned my head around somewhat. Who knows I could be good for a few guitars yet!

That was a great video. Can't think of anything I'd rather be doing when I'm 86 [clap]

That was wonderfully enjoyable and inspiring Jim! Thanks for posting it. Next time I get down to San Antone to visit the folks I'll have to see if I can set up a visit with Everett. :)
