Hey everybody, So after some sitting down and thinking on my part, I've decided to scratch my idea of a from scratch build and start with a kit. Anywho, I have the choice of Mahogany, I.R.W or Maple back and sides. All with spruce for the soundboard. Tone aside, which wood do you find easiest and most pleasurable to work with? Sides are pre-bent, so bending isn't a factor. Input appreciated, Thanks Guys! |

Walnut is also a nice choice, it bends as well as (better probably) than EIR and works (almost) as easy as mahogany. Plus, unfigured sets are really inexpensive. |
