Looks mighty nice Cecil. We're having a get together this Saturday just south of Wichita. You should come and bring the guitar with you ![]() |

I might be able to bring me but the guitar was delivered last Friday. The new owner is as pleased as punch. He has wanted a guitar made of "hedge" ( the local name for Osage Orange)for years. I met him last summer at the local bluegrass festival and he commissioned the build last fall. The wood he had was still pretty wet and it took a while for it to dry and stabilize. I finally ended up putting it in a hot box for about six weeks at about 130 degrees until it stopped loosing weight and remained stable for two weeks. A couple of more weeks for it to acclimate to the %45 humidity shop environment. When he first picked it up and strummed a few cords, he look over at his wife and said"This thing has quite a bark". The longer he played the wider his grin became. I love happy endings. Cecil |
