Post subject: | No OM Plans |
Hi I am starting number two (number one not finished yet). Unlike number one which is a kit number two will be from scratch, it will be another OM. I have the mold and I have built the side bending form from a template taken from the mold. I don't have any plan for bracing - I am assuming that as long as I get the location of the sound hole and bridge correct in relation to the scale length the bracing should fit around that. I am going to cut my X brace lap joint at 98 degrees. Am I going in the right direction or way off ? John |

John I am working on #4 at the present wich is an OM. My previous 3 instruments were dreads and based way too loosely on a set of plans from Jim Williams an Aussi builder. I thought I could easily mix and match ideas from other plans and patterns on builder's websites because I liked the sound of that particular builder's guitars. How wrong I was. ![]() Regards Craig. |
