We will have a few demo's . Jim Warwick had to cancel for family reasons. We will miss him but he found a substitute. Rob Mock is a carver that works on guitars . He graciously volunteered to fill in Jims demo slot. Those that want to learn basic carving skill bring the following items. An Exacto knife w/#11 blade -I will have some extras for those who don't have one- A pair of leather work gloves-hopefully we can keep the cuts to a minimum Jim will show you how to do this. I may take him up on a class myself. Todd Stock as we know will do the sharpening and Hot Hide glue demo. I will do an inlay and be around to answer any questions I can. Bob ZOOTMAN Cefalu will give a tonewood talk as will Steve Roberson of Colonial Tonewoods. We may even have a Martin guy or 2 drop in. I hope you all can come and have a good time in the Appalachian Mountains of PA. |

Any plans to make videos of the demos for those of us that can't make it up there? |

there will be some demos taped but not all. The sharpening and inlay are allready on Youtube. The carving and hot hide glue will be the focus of taping. Todd will get more camera time than me , you are lucky as Todd is ready for his close up . I need a sony thinathon camera. |

It would take me waay too long, as in all day! It's not a well developed skill yet, and I'm still figuring it out, myself. Someone posted a good one in Robbie's thread, that has good methods, that I may try. Also, Dave Schramm has a several good YouTubes of making a covered V. |
