Just saw this today, looks like it could work well for routing bindings and the kit includes a plunge base also.
Fixed base : $139.00 at Klingspor's www.woodworkingshop.com

It looks like a nice luthier tool. I prefer this entire base screw method of raising and lowering over the methods used on the lam trimmer routers I have. I have three different kinds. The bosch, dewalt, and rigid and the raise / lower is no good on any of them.

I got to play with one at the Klingspor show last weekend. The plunge base is bigger and heavier than I was expecting. (I'm used to a Bosch PR20) but the plunge action is smooth and precise. The extra power is nice for hogging out mortises. Nice tool. They had a show special with both bases and a 10 piece Dewalt router bit set for $169.00.

It doesn't have an adjustable bearing attachment does it?
Im still looking for something to replace my beloved dw670.

Not sure, but there is another version of this tool by, I think, Porter Cable. It does not have the speed control.
