Post subject:  Basic brace dimensions for Weissenborn style guitar.

Hello all,

I am building a Weissenborn style guitar and have some questions regarding bracing. Mostly about how tall they should be. It is a cedar topped instrument and I have thicknessed (thinned) it to around .130" leaving some room for sanding on the top and am ready to start bracing.

Here are the decisions I have made so far regarding the dimensions of each brace.
X-brace - .3125" wide .75" tall
Tone bar - .3125"wide ??? tall
Finger braces - .25" wide ??? tall
Lower transverse brace .375" wide ??? tall
Upper transvers brace .375" wide ??? tall

Back braces - .3125" wide ??? tall

Here is the brace design I came up with...

I know there are a ton of factors that go into chosen dimensions and I really looking for a starting point so I don't completely over build them. Any suggestions or baseline would be a huge help!

Oh and I apologize for any redundancy as I have posted this same question elsewhere. Just trying to get as much info as possible. Thanks in advance.

Best,
_Mike
