You need an amplifier with 15-20 Watts to drive the speaker, I use my laptop to drive an old stereo amp. A typical sound card doesn't have enough grunt..... Mikey |

What Mikey said. There's a lot of free signal generator SW out there, for Windows and Macs. The ones I've fed into an oscilloscope all gave accurate enough waveforms. Pat |

radio shack used to sell a turntable pre-amp pretty cheap. they might still. |

My computer store has speaker sets/ipod speaker, that have a lot of drive, don't know if that would be enough. |

Find the wattage rating. As has been said, you'll need something like 12W out of one channel, and more is nice. |
