Does the splinteryness of wenge correlte to a tendency to crack? |

yes. and the stuff is a pain to sand as well. nice sounding and looking guitar if you get it to work, though. |

Wow. I actually looked at that and didn't see the typo. Correlate. Correlate. Correlate... Ok. It definitely feels different from anything else I've tried. It smells like a barn when wet (a good thing). I guess I will use side struts with this one. I may also be having a reaction to this stuff. Anyone else had problems with it? |

Wenge has huge open pores and is a pain to fill and finish nicely. Good luck with it! Cheers, Dave F. |

I've been using it for bracing lams and I like it. Don't think I'd use it for the box though...too many splinters. |
