Okay, this isn't really about guitars, but if it's music, it matters, right? Hazel Dickens really mattered, and she's gone. I've been a fan since 1980, and embarrassed that I wasn't a fan much earlier. I just learned that Hazel died on April 22. I saw her live for the first time last fall, at the "Hardly Strictly Bluegrass" festival in San Francisco. The venue had its ups and downs, but her performance was wonderful. Hazel, I miss you.

I've thought for some time, that this forum should talk a little bit more about music. I know: "dangerous subject". I won't be bothered by 100 responses that loathe Hazel's music, if there's one
response from someone who didn't know about her before, and likes her now.

Hadn't heard that. Hazel was definitely a legend and a treasure. Thanks for posting.
