Are you the Invisible Man?

If not, and if those are your clothes, I'm glad you stayed out of the picture. TMI...

Cutting some braces from billets. Thats about all I can do this weekend. Need to borrow my friends thickness sander to thickness a top and back I joined this week before I can do much more in my shop. So the rest of today will be spent doing honey do's.

Tonight, BBQ at a friends house!!! Eat Drink

Completed some traditional type rosettes. This is something I started working a few months ago - wanting to refine my process and techniques.

The top one is from a design by Arcangel Fernandez and he bottom one by Daniel Friedrich.

I'd say you've refined your technique nicely...

Wish I could do that! Too blind...

Attended the St. Louis OLF gathering. Nice time, met a few new friends, and scored some Zoot.

Cutting a new bridge for the flat top mandolin. Gotta say the more I do little things like this the more I enjoy it.

I've got a few things going on. First up is a quickie drop-top on a yamaha strat copy:

Next are a couple of new body molds for my next two builds, a new shape derived from Taylor's Grand Concert, but considerably different:

And the other is based on an 1860's Martin 2 1/2-24:

Here's a '72 Martin flattop mandolin I did a retop on a while back. It's back in the shop for the nitro, which will be tinted to approach the color of the original:

And last, here's a couple of crummy shots of my koa/red spruce GA cutaway I finally put the finishing touches on (endpin, pickguard, final setup). Sounds lovely!

I finished my HVLP sprayer. It's got a 4 stage Ametek-Lamb turbine. I won't be able to do any spraying until I can get a hvlp spray gun :( .

Love that bridge Steve!! Coincidentally, I'm building a nylon string crossover at the moment too...small world!

The big thing that happened in my workshop this weekend was the arrival of my new ShopBot machine:

I have to rearrange the workshop to make proper space for it, plus I've got a LOT of learning ahead of me.....should all be fun though! :D

Cheers,
