Post subject:  heating temp for bending brazilian rosewood

Hey ,
Been building for around 30 years but have never built with braz. rosewood..
I have a set that the sides are sanded to approx. 090
I use a bending machine and a heating blanket.
I usually wrap the sides in parchment paper,, sometimes brown paper
usually don't wet or mist the wood
What bending temperature would you suggest ?
Any other things I might want to consider ?
many thanks
jack

BRW bends well. I use a very slight amount of water . Temps will work well 225 to 275 once your on the pattern back off for about 15 min at 200 to 240 degrees. Use the paper more to keep the resins off the slats.

I normally thickness around .085. Start the bend at around 230-240 take it up to 300 for a short time, then back down to 180 or so for a couple minutes. Lets set until the blankets are room temp, and your good to go.
