I had a similar problem with my old dremel...multipro395. It fit the threads but the chuck stuck out too far. I couldn't raise it up enough to use it. I got a model 300 now that fits fine. I think stew mac has a list of dremels that fit it |

if it's just a bit loose you could always try some plumber's teflon tape... |

Check and see if they sent you the base for the Foredom unit by mistake.... Edit - Oh, wait, they custom thread the Foredom unit to fit the Precision Router Base - so they are the same!! Maybe you just got a badly threaded one.... Cheers, Dave F. |
