First off, a correction. I called the last one I posted here #11, but I was mistaken. It was number 10. Not that anyone's keeping track... duh

This is the third classical I've made, and I made it for myself to replace the previous classical, which I sold. bliss

It has:

Osage orange back and sides, harvested and processed by yours truly.

Sitka spruce top from LMI. I got it to use on a steelstring, but sanded it a bit too thin.

Lutz spruce bracing.

Solid laminated linings.

Curly maple binding.

Whatchmacallit purfling. (Herringbone?)

Menards mahogany neck, osage head plate.

Desert ironwood rosette.

Schaller tuners.

Rosewood bridge.

Desert ironwood fret board.

The neck is a bolt-on.

Finish is Seagrave nitro lacquer.

The other classicals I made had symmetrical bracing, so this time I decided to try something a little different, and went with assymetrical bracing. I'll post a pic of it at the end of this post. I also did without a bridge pad.

This was my first guitar built using my new go bar deck and radius dishes. I love them both. bliss

I'll try to get a sound clip recorded tonight.

Beautiful work, Philip! I love the rosette too, and that’s a nice set of Osage Orange! I have a few sets I’m looking forward to building with, but none that nice. Eat Drink

Killer! I am a fan of the asymmetrical bracing...
Great fit and finish.
I really like the look of the back, very unique!

Thanks fellas!

Here's the promised sound clips. I'm still trying to figure out my Zoom H2 recorder, so this is not quite true to life. Sounds a bit muffled or something.

I think I'm the third person now, but that rosette looks great, I really like it. Great work.
