First off, a correction. I called the last one I posted here #11, but I was mistaken. It was number 10. Not that anyone's keeping track...
This is the third classical I've made, and I made it for myself to replace the previous classical, which I sold.
It has:
Osage orange back and sides, harvested and processed by yours truly.
Sitka spruce top from LMI. I got it to use on a steelstring, but sanded it a bit too thin.
Lutz spruce bracing.
Solid laminated linings.
Curly maple binding.
Whatchmacallit purfling. (Herringbone?)
Menards mahogany neck, osage head plate.
Desert ironwood rosette.
Schaller tuners.
Rosewood bridge.
Desert ironwood fret board.
The neck is a bolt-on.
Finish is Seagrave nitro lacquer.
The other classicals I made had symmetrical bracing, so this time I decided to try something a little different, and went with assymetrical bracing. I'll post a pic of it at the end of this post. I also did without a bridge pad.
This was my first guitar built using my new go bar deck and radius dishes. I love them both.
