I have it set at the lowest setting, goes up to 155 then shuts off ...seems to have about a 15 degree range on heat...for anyone using a rival hot pot is this what you are experiencing????? |

in face lowest setting on 143 off 155 I would assume that there is a little room to work with the heat on HHG .... |

I use an old yard sale baby bottle warmer . looks like a mini crock pot consistently heats to 135-150. I use recycled baby food glass jars for HHG . It is frozen when not in use, just add water when defrosted. |

One thing I checked recently is placement of the thermometer. I get totally different readings with it inside the glue bottle vs in the water. I put stones in the bottle and it stays at a very constant temp. |

I use the Hot Pot made by Sunbeam. I drilled a small hole in the top for a candy thermometer. I put a layer of marbles in it to keep the jar off of the bottom. I put the thermometer right in the glue. Works great. |
