Well, out west in BC I can't get quarts of seal coat anymore, they only carry gal size and that will just go bad on me before I can use it.

Looks like I'll have to switch to a different sealer, but I like the amber shellac.

dang!

Are you talking about Zinsser Seal Coat?

How are you Rod?! What are you making?

Have you tried Canadian Tire. They use to sell it by the litre as well as Home Depot. If you like I can send you enough flakes to get you through a build or two. I think they are blonde, not amber though.

Cheers,
Danny

Hey Danny, I'm doing OK. I'm getting ready to finish of a GA in EIR/Cedar. I'll try CT but I'm guessing they won't have it.
I call the BC distributor for rust-oleum (zinssers) and they told me that they are not bringing in the seal coat in quarts anymore, for anyone out west, just the gal.

I think I'll just do a wash coat of 50/50 lacquer, I might try tinting it a bit too. Thanks for the offer on the flakes though.

By the time I got done putting three coats on all my molds, jigs, and other shop-made stuff, I had run through a half gallon...

Hmmmm, that's not a bad idea for the first gallon ;)
