This is the rosette for my 3rd build, 1st steel string. It's going to be a KOA/ADI OM, ebony FB, ebony bindings with large solid koa purlings. The rosette is koa and ebony. The outside and inside ebony strips, and the middle koa strip are thick solid wood, bent, instead of veneer : good move! I love the effect. Please comment! Thanks Francis |

thanks! I think I'll make it my standard design. I'm planning to push this design for my next classical. It's going to be 3 rings instead of 2, with more tiles (24 or 36 instead of 12). Coco and maple. ![]() |

very nice. Kinda makes you want to rotate one of the wheels to set the timer or something. ![]() |

nickton wrote: very nice. Kinda makes you want to rotate one of the wheels to set the timer or something. ![]() I had the idea to accentuate the rotating effect on the next one, that will be 3 offset cocobolo rings, by placing ebony tiles every 3 or 4 ''rows'' of tiles. We'll see. |
