Hi all, I'd like to ask what make of dehumidifier forum members have in their shops. To narrow things down, I'd be looking at models available in North America. I figure since humidity is a concern for serious guitar makers, there would be some pretty informed choices. I also figured there'd also be some makes/models to steer clear of. Thanks all, Jake. |

+1 on Soleus. 5 years and counting, & it's quiet. On the Gulf Coast where I live, average 80% RH, it keeps my shop at 40% |

I have a portable Danby unit. It does a great job, but despite their claims, it is not a good cold weather unit. Tends to freeze up below 62 degrees F. Mark |

My basement is 2400 SF and I could not manage the RH until I got one of these Sante Fe dehumidifiers. It rocks! Quiet, energy star rated and my whole basement stays at 49% and it rarely runs now after the initial "drying out" which took about a week. |

Large Soleus as well. Works well, although if I don't hook up the drain (haven't yet) it won't max it's gpd capability without emptying it a couple times during the more humid months. |
