Post subject:  Reading acrylic body form for classical guitar

I just received my acrylic classical guitar form from LMI. Having never built a guitar I'm wanting to get clarity on which side is the top and which side is inside, I know this sounds silly but if I don't verify this the project could be doomed from the start. One side is smooth and you can read inside at the top. The other side has all the brace positions with pilot holes drilled at each end of the braces and small channels cut for length and location of braces, looking at it from this side the word inside is etched but is backwards. I feel its necessary to ask even if it feels embarising, but one small step out of line could really mess things up. rgar5795

you might consider getting a plan to go along with your template as it should clear up a lot of questions you'll have along the way.
The GAL is good source for classical plans.

Richard,

Lay your guitar top face down then place the template on it so you can read the engraving. If you need a plan, purchase the plan from LMI that corresponds to your template.
