Post subject:  a non US source of baltic birch plywood

Does anyone know of a non US source of baltic birch plywood? Should be many since they're not originally from the US.

Otherwise could a German OLF member buy some from Bauhaus for me and ship it to Taiwan using bulk mail (perhaps surface mail)?
I think you can send a 10kg package for 50 euros, or 20kg for 85 euros by DHL.

I looked at Rockler and they wanted like 500 dollars to ship some to Taiwan using UPS express.

I might want some for making jigs and the like... only plywood available in Taiwan are Lauan, they work but some of them are full of voids, and they're just not too stiff. There are currently no importers for birch plywood in Taiwan.

US mail services does NOT like sending big packages out of the US cheaply... shipping from LMI for heavy items costs at least 50% more than shipping the same weight from Germany, and they're covering the same distance by air.
