I have a bubinga back that has a few small through wormholes. Should I fill these? If so ,with what? Thanks |

pack the holes with fine Bubinga dust and flood with thin CA. Level and repeat if necessary. |

Its kind of a futile effort. You can fill them with dust, but that dust will just go through the worm hole and re-appear at some different point in the space-time continuum. Ive done what Ron suggests though. Put some tape on the back side Or you could leave them and consider them tiny sound ports. |

Here's a link to an article on Allied's site that discusses ways to fill wormholes. I found it interesting... http://www.alliedlutherie.com/filling_a_hole.htm |

I tried filling wormholes but the fill ended up getting transported to the Gamma Quadrant... |

You have a couple solutions.... Do you want to highlight the worm holes or do you want to try to hide them or make them less obvious.... If you want to highlight them - use epoxy and a dye and fill them with something dark or a very strong contrasting color... Black or dark brown seems to work well... I don't like Epoxy/sawdust mixes as much - as they tend to look like grit or pencil shavings mixed into a clear solution.... but they are very easy to work with.... You have a much longer open time than superglue.... Last is to pack the hole with sawdust and then wick in a thin superglue... This looks more like it's "Supposed to" in my mind... It can be a challenge too - as sometimes the dust wants to float out... I tried pre-mixing sawdust with superglue - then packing it in the hole... It kicked over about 25% of the time and foamed up in the hole.... Superglue whets the wood - so you get a darker color... Epoxy doesn't whet the wood as much - and it tends to be lighter than the wood surrounding it.... YMMV... Thanks |

I think a photon torpedo will collapse a wormhole... |
