Luthier's Cool Tools has plans for a jig that is used with a router. Haven't used it myself but it looks pretty "cool". |

No need for a jig... http://youtu.be/C2Qeh9vjrck I've tried all sorts of jigs for this task, yet none are better nor faster than what you'll see in the video above. |

I used to mark both sides, but honestly, I don't even mark anything now. I just go for it, check against my template(s) and adjust as I go. Takes about 15 seconds per brace.... The best part is that I've never ruined a brace this way, but I cannot count how many I've ruined with jigs using the router table, or table saw. Ugh.... Keep it simple! |
