I am building the Cocobolo for my Daughter and It has Pink Ivory Binding and end strip as well as Back strip . I have included a pic of the rosette . I want to use a purfling and am not sure the best to use . Was thinking zipflex . Would REALLY like to find purfling that matched rosette , but havent been able to find one . Question is . What color ZipFlex would you suggest on this build ? Or is there a better idea ? Attachment: 100_1575.jpg Attachment: 100_1570.jpg Attachment: 100_1569.jpg

I think it is nice when the purfling replicates something from the rosette exactly. I don't see well what's happening in there, but you could pick bwb edge or the lighter alternation towards the center. Hopefully you have veneer and can make it yourself. Here are a couple of mine: ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Karin Rost has that same purfling that was used on the outer edges of the rosette that you use. |

thank you for your mail. Yes, it is possible to deliver the purfling S 41. The price for one strip is EUR 5,45 and the length is 800 mm. Please note, that we have send the purfling in a long way and so the freight charges to USA is EUR 56,00 The commas are confusing me here . How much is this in US currency . If im figuring right 4 pieces and shipping is under $100.00 ? |

You got it. The comma is just a separator, euros and cents, so 60 euros is about 75 bucks |

I thought so , but I have never seen comma's used before . Now I wonder how hard they would be to bend ? |

... and I had never seen dots instead of commas before coming to USA. In Europe we use commas instead of dots and dots instead of commas. So in USA if you have 10,000 $ and 10.00 $ In Europe we have 10.000$ and 10,00 $ If you think this is confusing, wait till you get to metric-imperial conversion. I still wonder when you Americans are going to upgrade ![]() Anyway, back to Karin Rost, I ordered from them in the past. It is good stuff and usually it is easily bent. But in this case you have a pretty large purfling. If I were you I would ask them first in order to avoid surprise. Also, since you are going to pay this much shipping charges for such a cheap product, make sure you order some spare, just in case. |

Also, check to see if they are shipping via parcel post or UPS. UPS is FAR more expensive. I've shipped canoe paddles to Europe for about that much, the shipping rate sounds excessive for mail, at least. |

Just to clarify, this is the case in European countries except the UK. |
