Not much posted from my shop lately, so let me rectify that with a few pics.
This wee guitar was built for a fellow luthier in the DFW area.
He supplied the wood (Claro walnut back/sides) and the tuners (nickel Waverlys with black pearl buttons).
I kicked in the sinker redwood top and the curly maple bindings.
Also the Macassar fretboard and bridge.
Head is overlaid with walnut burl, which turns up at the butt wedge and head inlay (rear).
Rosette is a wide band of Paua abalone.

Thanks Mark. We have this Dove chocolate wrapper pinned to our shop wall which reads, "If they can do it, you know you can". A bit self-assured perhaps, but it does encourage. Get yourself one of those wrappers, nail it to your wall, and repeat that to yourself over and again.

So here's the rear of the headstock. I should add that the neck is Claro walnut, Santo Domingo mahogany, and curly maple:

That's a very, very nice small guitar you've got there. You should be ecstatic with the way it came out.

Steve,

That is fantastic work, sir! I'm a parlor guitar junkie, and haven't been able to get enough of them since I played my first one 25 years ago. What are the dimensions? It appears to approximate a Martin size 2... looks like a 12" lower bout? Not sure how you feel about posting bracing pics, but I'd love to see them if you'd share. I'm working on parlors #2 and #3, and could use some inspiration from a master.... Hope you guys are surviving over there in Nac--Austin is burning up!

Let me thank you all in the mass for your very kind words. So much appreciated.
Now, some answers:

Matt, this is for Chuck Lee, but don't tell as he hasn't seen it yet.

Colin--ah, I see--good use of your time, sir!

Jaybird, this is a Martin #1 size/shape. A little bigger than 12" across, but not a whole lot. I'll look to see if I can find a bracing pic.

Dave, it sounds a bit less *plunky* than with a spruce top. Warmer, richer, more complex. This is a good size for redwood or cedar.

Mike, you know you have to buy the shirt first.

Dave, I thank you for the nod to the photographs, but a local studio did those. So my "tutorial" would be to go see Clay at Creative Photography on Main street! :lol:
