Post subject:  Black Line Only for Side/Back Purfling?

I'm considering using a black purfling line between the Cocobolo binding and mahogany back/sides (not on the top). Any one else used only a black line for binding purfling? Does it look ok? It crossed my mind that it might appear to be a gap.

I think that would look sharp. Esp because coco sometimes has black lines already. Subtle but sharp!

Wow, that guitar does look nice! Thanks everyone for the feedback.

I purchased some dyed black wood purfling from StewMac and I think I'll use it on this guitar. The black lines in the Cocobolo were mentioned. This Cocobolo does have some black lines in it. It looks nice when I hold the binding/black purfling up against the body so I'm happy to get this feedback. Now my only concern is how thick to make the black line <smile>.

Here is a shot of the coco binding, the Cuban mahogany body it will go on, and the single black line along the back of the neck:
