cool, i hope you can ship outside the UK (the ebay link only has uk available). BTW,is it a real selmer shape (15 3/4" lower bout) or just similar (eg. favino)? thanks, miguel. |

It's not possible as yet through eBay, but it should be soon. It will be possible through the website when it's up an running. The shape is based on several genuine Selmers i've examined over the years. They all do vary a little for sure. There is no telling how accurate the original Selmer molds were. They were made by hand after all. Variations naturally creep in during the building process too. Rather than copy one guitar, we compared the outlines and came up with what seems to be the most likely intended shape. It's very close to the plans that exist commercially but not identical, as the plans I've seen show the distortions and asymmetry found in real guitars. Having just built a Selmer guitar on an open work board I could see that as being very useful. What I really wished I had is a mold/jig to do accurate laminate sides. |

I have molds and patterns for them here in the states. The patterns are taken off the Selmer 807 and they are made of Baltic birch. |

Not sure what the dimensions were but they were rosewood on the outside and mahogany on the inside. I plan on building at least one more and I like to do everything myself but I've never laminated sides before and was not tooled up to do it. If I really get into building these guitars then I'd probably want to laminate my own sides. |
