Another question - does anyone know about Shane (again)? his site is down, apparently - so i can´t find his phone number. I know that mailing is not always the best choice... hope all is well.

thanks,
Miguel.

Yeah, I sent him an email a week ago and I still haven't heard back from him.

The site works fine for me. here are the phone numbers on the contact page:

phone (250)638-0125
cell (250)631-6204
or fax (250)638-0124

Post back if you can get through to him... I am curious how he's doing these days. Probably pretty nippy up there by this time of year eek

I tried to get in touch with Shane for some time with no success. He did not reply to my emails. After a while I gave up. I thought he was not interested in selling that much stuff. But, maybe it's just a matter of insisting? He will reply sooner or later?

well, i don´t know...he´s had a fair amount of set-backs the last year (maybe longer) and, althought i don´t know the details, i know that those have kept him busy and work kind of intermittent. eventually he´ll reply to your mails - i have had him reply in the same day and after a couple of months. when he´s not answering mails, folks around here advised me to call him. i would advise you to do the same, if he doesn´t reply to your emails.
his a very nice guy (as i´m sure we all here know), and runs an honest, no-bullsh&t, quality business - so i guess it´s worth having a little patience.

I've waited up to a few months to get an order through, but ALWAYS worth the wait. Class guy who's had far more personal problems to deal with than I could imagine.
Don't settle for 2nd rate material. Shane has top quality product at very reasonable prices.

A couple of weeks ago I received a special order from Shane for the 8 string I am building. He went the extra mile for me to get me a set of eight tuning machines and an extra long saddle (along with a master grade Lutz top). Took a little time to get the special order stuff (e.g. the extra tuners from Gotoh in Japan) but Shane gave me great service. I've usually called him on the phone and he has also called me on the phone.

No question his product is always beyond expectations.
As customers we have to understand that this is by far his primary concern.
He has a full-time job, a young family, and some recent health concerns that put luthier supply down the list.
So we just have to plan ahead.....as stated before, well worth the wait!

Rob

P.S. I am half-way from where most of you are and where he calls home - it is so cold now the brass monkeys are singing soprano...must be lovely in Terrace....hahaaa!
