You can do the whole thing on a table saw. I believe Bogdanovich does it that way Much easier IMO There is a tutorial by GaryL in that section of the board if you want to go with the router |

I do mine on a Radial Arm saw, then use a chisel to ramp the back of the saddle section, and a plane and file to round off the front. Pretty fast process, really. |

I made my bridge mainly on a tablesaw, too. I followed Robbie O'Brien's Youtube video, and even though I had to make a model, and scale everything down (it was a miniature classical I was making), I found the whole process to be enjoyable and move along pleasantly. If I were to do it again, I would prefer the tablesaw. No jigs required, just setting up the saw. |

Tablesaw. I have bridge-sized setup blocks that line up the position and depth of cuts for each different bridge I've made. It takes only a few minutes to get each bridge to the point where it is ready for the chisel and file work mentioned above. |
