I need to make a choice on fretting templates to cut fretboards on the tablesaw. LMI(plastic) Stewmac(stainless steel) or any other suppliers I should know about! I'm building an OM and (eventually) 000 & using the stewmac plans.

Also I need to make a choice on sawblades! LMI($194) or Stewmac($92)

I like the Stewmac templates, saw blade works fine.

I like the durability of stainless over plastic. Im rough on things and the stewmac template seems to take abuse well. I also have one of their saws which works fine too.

Todd, the program I downloaded from the MIMF library is quite old. I'm not very good with computers, but a friend who is says that I may be having trouble getting it to run because of the age. He is willing to print them for me. Is there a newer version for mac?

Todd, I just finished printing the scale lengths that I want!!
That program is great! I didn't even have to adjust the length for error. I did print the chart in inches and in metric. Metric is easier for me, I hate fractions. Checked the length from the nut to each fret and looks spot on. Now I just have to get that saw blade on the marks! I'll try some test passes first.
Thanks,
David

When I cut the notch in the aluminum template, the kerf goes on the right of the line? File to the line if I'm shy! Does it matter where that index pin goes on the sled? It shouldn't.

I make my own templates from WFRET, but at some point, I may buy some from this guy:
