Let's talk about carbon fibre. I have seen builders use it to reinforce the neck. What else do people use it for when building guitars and why? Any methods, general tips, advice on purchasing etc. Ed |

I've used carbon fibre cloth interleaved between the wood laminations on laminated sides and backs. Gives them that tupperware tap tone.  . It does give an added toughness to the sides, like a continuous side tape, and the sides and back can be made lighter and thinner if so desired.
