I am so excited about this guitar that I am daring to show it in the white and even unsanded. It is still quite a mess but I will start the French polish on Monday. Here is a very quick video. I strung up this guitar for the first time this morning and made the video this afternoon. It is obviously tight but it is going to be a good one. Top-Euro spruce B/S Mac Ebony |

That's great Stephen, sounds like a real good one. I think the FP will even enhance it. I love the look of those sides too as they mate with the end graft. |

Great sounding guitar. It's beautiful as well. What did you use to make the video? I like the pics of the guitar in progress inserted in the video. Very nice. |

The back is 2.3-2.5 or so from the middle to the perimeter. I used Corel videostudio pro x5 for the video editing. I am getting to like it. It is pretty intuitive but it takes a bit of study to get started on it. Thanks everyone. |

Great sound, Stephen. The balance between trebles and bass is very even and has great sustain Brent |

Stephen, The guitar looks and sounds great! Will you finish the guitar with the bridge on? If not, what's the procedure for removing the bridge prior to finishing? Max |

As far as guitar building in Bozeman, for me, it is the near constant 40% in shop relative humidity that works best. You would never know Gibson is here if you did not already know it. They are very low profile. The factory is right next to I-90 but there is no indication of it. I lived here 6 years wondering where it was before I figured out I drive past it every week. I do not remove the bridge before finishing. I French polish right around it. I tried finishing prior to gluing the bridge in the past but messed up the finish so bad during gluing that I had to re-finish. I estimate 70% of the time French polishing is spent around the bridge, fret board, and the neck/heel joint. Thanks for all the comments. I will post another video in a few months after finish and seasoning. |
