Well I was able to sell all the big tools local and well pleased. I am going now to sell what luthier specific stuff have left. I will be posting it over the next couple of days as I inventory it. I started today and darn, I couldn't believe all the small stuff I have built up over the years. Like many who do this pro, I also made much of the stuff I use and probably won't sell all of that. Some I used daily for years, so don't expect it to look new and shiny. Stuff gets scuffed and marked over the years. Again to respect the blog rules, I will do the sell on the ad page. I will try and take pictures of stuff, but not really know how to do that. So question. Can I take pics from my Blackberry and then transfer them to my laptop and then to this page? If so, how would I do that? Please explain in cell phones, computers and photo's for dummies style. I think my wife as a digital camera somewhere and a Apple phone. |

You should be able to email the picture to yourself on your blackberry, if you have a data plan set up. Then just open the email on your computer and download. Do you not have a digitial camera? |

stan thomison wrote: I think my wife has a small digital camera. That would be far easier. Your digital camera should have an SD card that you remove and install in your computer, if it has an SD slot. And/or the camera will come with a USB cable to stick in the computer. |

Thanks will do that then and if she doesn't have one, I will buy one today. I need it anyway to prove my fish stories. Well then, maybe I won't buy one The biggest items I have to sell is a Wm's (or whoever) binding rig with cradle. Will come with trimmer, most if not all the LMI bearings and bits (most new as I bought a bunch of replacements) and maybe some Stew Mac bit and a couple of bearings. Bought it from John Hall few years ago when I changed to this system. Is in great shape although used a bunch (reason replaced the bits and bearings) Will sell it for $400 which is less that the rig on its own. Also Simpson style mortise & tenon jig for $75. Never used. A heavy duty thick plastic M&T outfit, and a template for making and routing the end graft made for me by Mark Kett about 10 years ago. The neck jig for routing the tenon tilts for neck angle. Another part lays along the whole body and gives the angle at the neck block which is then locked in so can lock the angle at the neck in. The tenon routing template is not to unlike the Simpson as it just attaches to the body in a clamp. Same with the end graft rig. Can make end grafts as wide or narrow as want. Will take photo's. The neck part is kind of beat up looking, but the important routing part is perfect. I was going to make a better way to hold the neck in, but never got around to it. But it has made well over a 100 necks and still the champ. If It makes it, it will work forever and get you great results. Cost me for all over $800 Will sell for $225 ((M&T) End graft jig and template for $150 Or all to one person for $300. plus that nuisance shipping . |

Stan, I may be interested in the end graft jig. How flexible is it for various end graft designs? |

It does just the triangle shape if that is what your asking. It can go from really wide to narrow like see on older guitars, But if want to do wider mortis for purf it is great. I will take a pic of it. Mark made one for Lance also. |
