Been working on this about a year in my free time. 34" scale, J200 body. The inlay is MOP, cherry and india ink/CA glue slurry for the little bit of red.

Thanks guys. The toughest part was researching the subject. It took weeks. My wife was a real trouper about it since it's art and all.

I don't like the clarity of the pictures though. I took these and uploaded with my iPad. Next time I'll use my Nikon.

Nice. Did the censor get to the last picture? It looks a bit different in the, ahem, "chest" area.
Maybe just the lighting/reflection.

Thanks guys.

Colin, I think thats just the flash accenting the black mother of pearl in her swim suit. I cut each part of her anatomy from a different piece of shell. So some parts stand out more depending on the angle of light.

I unintentionally made it so as I move the neck or light source it looks like she has either a one piece, two piece, or no bathing suit at all.

That could be very distracting for the player! Very nice work!

Hey, Raymond,
I love pinup art from the old days, and I love your pinup girl inlay. Beautifully done. I must say she compliments the voluptuous shape of your bass guitar, too. Very nicely done, all the way around!

Part of the research I did was the old school pinups and bomber art. That stuff is so cool! And thanks!
