I'm one of those who got in on the first batch of castings - and very nice castings they are to. I hope one day my own casting efforts are as good.

Unfortunately, the project has to wait for winter - this time of year I'm working on my workshop when it is nice, on my challenge guitar when it rains.

While on the topic of infill smoothers, this guy makes nice kits, or completed planes if you have the $$$.

He also makes the Norris adjusters.

I just recently saw Joels Blog about these castings. I am going to go through with building one. I do not own an infill yet but have been meaning to get the materials together to build one. This is a perfect opportunity as the price is very reasonable for an already cast shell, cap, and cap screw. I've always liked the coffin style planes but never had it in me to make a coffin shaped plane. My plan was just a straight sided plane with dovetailed sides and bottom peened together. This is a very timely offer.
