Got myself a beautiful Wenge B/S set with amazing grain figure but I'm not sure what temp. to use to bend the sides. I have a Fox style bender with temp. control.

Anyone worked with this stuff?

I bend everything at 275-295*F.

Hi Bill, same as Tony for me. I just finished a wenge guitar and really enjoyed the build. I've actually just posted some pics of the finished guitar and some sound clips. I used an Englemann spruce top and the sound is phenomenal. There are a few things to note about wenge - 1) it's pores are the size of craters - you'll spend some time pore filling before spraying. I used Zpoxy and it worked really well. 2) watch out for the splinters! it's a fairly splintery wood so have a pair of tweezers handy. I really didn't have any problems bending my set, but it had straight grain. It seemed to bend like butter for me.

Thanks Guys..I've also read that the splinters and the dust can cause some health hazards.

Yeah the splinters can have the tendency to get infected more so then other woods and the dust is a major irritant.
