Post subject:  Articles in Le Monde and PNAS regarding old and new violins

I don't have a clue what forum to post this in, but I am sure it will be of interest to all stringed instrument builders.

Spotted this article today in Le Monde: http://www.lemonde.fr/culture/article/2014/04/10/le-stradivarius-detrone-par-les-violons-modernes_4398681_3246.html#xtor=AL-32280270

OK, it's in French, but don't despair. The video doco that accompanies the article is in English http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=OHXOPjI9l0I, as is the (first) scientific article published in PNAS in 2012, based on her 2010 data http://www.pnas.org/content/109/3/760.full.pdf+html. The peer-review standards for publication by PNAS are extremely high -- it would be nice to see this latest experiment published in a similar way.

And the link to the second, more convincing study published this week in PNAS: http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2014/04/03/1323367111.full.pdf+html?sid=9d37b7c5-2404-4471-9bfa-ed8698a46b01
