It's a Fender Stratocoustic or something... basically an acoustic guitar shaped like a Fender Stratocaster. the body weights half a ton and uses standard Stratocaster bolt on necks (doesn't seem to fit Ibanez necks so well...) Bridge bellied and needs a neck reset? No need to pay some luthier 400 dollars when you can just unbolt the neck, stick some business cards in the pocket, and rebolt it. Problem is the neck block must have been 2" x 2" and solid all the way to the back, and I think the back is made of molded plastic as well. The body weights almost as much as a Fender solidbody so I am guessing it probably sounds like a solidbody guitar unplugged as well. |
