i know the photo is far from optimum... i blame the cell phone, not the photographer ![]() i´ll measure its density tomorrow - but it does feel heavy. i´ll also try to take a pic of endgrain if it helps. thanks, Miguel. |

Thanks ! I was guessing goncalo Alves too. They call it muiracatiara here. The color is brick orange, with those wonderful black streaks. Any experience with it? |

I built an MJ with Concaolo Alves (from Bobc), and was very happy with the sound. One of the best I've built. |
