Ed, I'll start by saying that dreds normally don't interest me too much. HOWEVER...if I ever aspired to a dred, I think I'd want one just like this one. I think it's purely beautiful. I'll also say that I think your sound port on the player's side treble bout is pure perfection. Looking over other little details confirms my appreciation of this dred. Your overall fit and finish look flawless to me. Your other artistic choices, such as the little run of sapwood in your fingerboard which echos in the head plate veneer, are wonderful. What's not to like? My hat is off to you. Congratulations on a wonderful instrument! |

Very, very nice. Is that a satin Nitro finish? Sorry re-read your post. Still a very very nice guitar no matter the finish. |

meddlingfool wrote: Is that a bookmatched FB? Yes. Also bookmatched peghead face and back strap veneers. All the sapwood is bookmatched on the front and back of the guitar. |

Very beautiful! I am generally not a fan of sapwood on guitars, but I love what you did with this one. Such attention to detail and design is awesome, great work! |

The more I look at your guitar the more I like it. I really like the bookmatched fretboard and head plate and how they go together. They add some flash to overall look while remaining tasteful. I also like the positioning of the fret markers with the little offset for the twelfth fret marker. The f-hole sound port is a cool touch. |

Beautifully done! Amazing for number 3... I'm surprised that the rattle can finish came out so good. You have some talent... |

I Zpoxy pore filled the body & neck and level sanded. Then I did rattle can gloss lacquer (8 coats) and level sanded it. At that point all I needed to do was polish it to have a high gloss finish. But instead I did some coats of rattle can satin - two on the neck and top, and three on the body with no sanding of the satin. This is my first experience spraying finish. Patience was key for me. |

Well I don't do excellent work, but I will agree that it is very tastefully done. I've been wanting to do a bookmatched fretboard as well. I have a great piece of BRW for it too. |
